Fun for Kids During Winter Break

The winter school break is here. What are you going to do with the kids? Here are some ways you can create some old-fashioned bonding time:

Make fluffy, stretchy, colorful slime out of things you have around the house. All you need is school glue, shaving cream, food coloring and liquid laundry detergent. Get the recipe to make slime at home!

Grab a deck of cards and teach the family games you played as a kid. Having trouble remembering back that far? Job your memory and find new favorites from Bicycle Cards.

Find a pencil and a few sheets of paper then head over to papg.com to (re)discover some old-fashioned pencil-and-paper games — and some old-fashioned fun! If your kids don’t have anyone else to play with, they can take on the computer with no pencil or paper needed.

Need to help kids burn off that energy from being stuck in house? Winter is the perfect time for kids to swim at Big Blue Swim School! We always have a warm pool with 90 degree water and professional swim instructors ready to help your kid learn to swim. You’ll have the flexibility to start and stop lessons whenever you choose — if you can get your swimmer out of our pool. We make each lesson fun and fundamentally sound so kids improve quickly.
