Meet Justin Labucuas of Big Blue Naperville

For this month's staff feature, we are thrilled to introduce Big Blue Naperville's Assistant Manager, Justin! Justin's passion for creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for our swimmers make him such an incredible part of our team. His passion for our mission is an essential piece when it comes to helping the families at Big Blue Naperville feel comfortable and excel during their lessons. How long have you been a member of the Big Blue Swim School team?
• I started my journey as an instructor in July of 2022.

What is your background?
• Hospitality!

What does your job entail?
• Ensuring the safety of our staff and students to help them achieve their big moments in life, and continuing to maintain our brand/curriculum continuity.

What is your favorite part about working at Big Blue?
• Being like a big brother to any and all students that walk through our doors!

Do you have a favorite moment that you’ve been a part of during your time at Big Blue?
• My favorite moments are when families tell me how much swim lessons have benefited their kids. Whether it’s their kids falling into their home pools and swimming back to the ladder safety, to their kids coming in showing off the medals they were able to obtain during their swim meets!

What is your favorite level to teach?
• No question, Baby Blue. It’s amazing seeing what they can achieve at such an early age. Being there throughout their journey is a big reason as well.

What kind of things do you like to do outside of work?
• I love being active outdoors! Whether it’s golfing, swimming, or going on a hike!

How would your team describe you?
• Always showing passion for the mission! 💙
