Meet Angela Greene of Big Blue Frisco

It's time to meet our featured staff member for the month of August: Angela Greene! Angela is the General Manager at Big Blue Frisco in Texas. Learn all about Angela below, and make sure to give her a shoutout if you see her at Big Blue Frisco!

How long have you been a member of the Big Blue Swim School team?

September 13th will be my 2 year mark!

Tell us about yourself!

Born in Tokyo, Japan, my dad was a marine and my mom was a Japanese native. I was raised by my great grandparents in Dallas, TX and attended Dallas Baptist University where I obtained a science degree.  I am also a mother and have so many goals left to achieve!

What does your job entail?

Lots of customer service and administrative work, but mostly building a community-centered culture for everyone. I also do a lot of training and developing my team and interact with our families constantly.

What is your favorite part about working at Big Blue?

The fact that I work for good people who hold the same beliefs that I do when it comes to culture and values. Being able to embody and exude those while working is fulfilling on so many levels.

Do you have a favorite moment that you’ve been a part of during your time at Big Blue?

When we threw a baby shower for one of our team members, Analyssa! It was so great just to see the team come together for her and shower her with love and gifts on their own (we didnt ask them to bring anything but they did anyway.) They came in to help decorate since it was a surprise and they chose to use their quarterly outing budget on it. It was just nice to see that we really have a family here and they truly care for each other.

What is your favorite level to teach/observe?

Bold 1

What kind of things do you like to do outside of work?

Cooking, baking, trying new restaurants or attractions, painting, pottery and reading!

How would your team describe you?

A second mom, an independent, admirable, and confident boss lady who cares very much for her team.

Thank you to Angela for everything that you do for your staff and families!
