Meet the Concord General Manager: Teresa Bostic

While our Big Blue swim instructors make swim lessons extra special for your kids, it's the managers who keep our swim school operations running smoothly day-to-day. Teresa Bostic is our General Manager at Big Blue Swim School Concord. Let's dive into Teresa's background, as she provides insight into what it's like to work at Big Blue Swim School. What is your background?

I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and I currently reside in Cornelius, NC. I attended Western Carolina University, where I received a BSBA in Marketing. Before Big Blue Swim School, I was the Senior Aquatics Specialist for Northern Regional Recreation Center, and before that, I was the Aquatics Director for Lake Norman and Sally’s YMCAs.

Why are you passionate about Big Blue Swim School?

Teaching children how to swim has been a part of my life for over 20 years. Safety around water is key to drowning prevention as well as developing confidence in and around water. Big Blue gives children these skills. As a manager, I am also passionate about developing my staff to be strong leaders both inside and outside of work.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Spending time on the lake, where I live.

Where would you visit, anywhere in the world, if it was free? Greece!

What is your go to dessert? Crème brûlée!
