Make a splash this summer with our most progress-forward program! Our summer Super Improver Clinics help swimmers build skills faster, gain confidence, and make meaningful progress — with a new, bonus skill added each day of the clinic! Spots are limited, so now is the perfect time to secure your swimmer’s place and keep their momentum going. Available for all families, even those not currently enrolled in lessons at Big Blue. Dates vary. Annual Membership Fee applies.

Big Blue Swim School

Meet Big Blue Buffalo Grove

Thanks to Big Blue Swim School, kids’ swimming lessons in Buffalo Grove are accessible and fun. We believe swimming classes are a great way to build confidence while learning an important life skill, and we think the best way to learn is with the dedicated staff at our state-of-the-art facilities.

We offer programs for kids from three months to 12 years of age:

Baby Blue: Infant and toddler swim lessons up to age two

Bright Blue: Lessons for toddlers through five-year-olds

Bold Blue: Beginner swim lessons for kids six and up

Big Blue: More advanced swim lessons for kids six and up

Conveniently Located

Big Blue Swim School is an easy commute from nearby neighborhoods, including Horatio Gardens, Aptakisic, Long Grove, Prairie View, and Wheeling.

We ask parents to stick around during lessons, but there’s plenty to do in the area before or after class. Our location at McHenry Road and Lake Cook Road sits in a shopping plaza with Jewel-Osco, The UPS Store, Jersey Mike’s, and the AT&T Store.

When it’s time for a meal, swing by Giordano’s for their famous stuffed pizza or grab a Whopper and chicken nuggets for the kids at Burger King across the street. Need to mail a package? The post office is nearby. Or stop by Deerfields Bakery for a little pick-me-up—or a dozen donuts for Saturday morning.

Unless otherwise directed by a medical professional, it is always a smart idea to consider enrolling your child in swimming lessons. Whether they have little experience or none, Big Blue can help them on their journey!

For the safety of all students, all students are initially placed based on their age-appropriate level. Students are evaluated at each lesson by our trained staff to determine their skill levels using Big Blue’s curriculum. It is not uncommon for swimmers to move up levels quickly if they have previous swim experience.
