Pricing varies by level. Upon enrollment and every year afterwards while enrolled, an Annual Membership Fee of $36 applies for each child, for no more than two children per family. Bronze, Silver, and Gold Swim Plans are subject to an early cancellation fee.

Big Blue Swim School

Meet Big Blue Huntington Beach

There’s nothing quite like having fun in the water. Swimming skills are something that kids can use their entire lives, but they need to learn how to be safe and comfortable around water—making kids’ swimming lessons in Huntington Beach a great idea. We live right next to the ocean, after all. Strong, confident swimmers are safe swimmers!

Our highly trained, friendly instructors are ready to work with kids as young as three months old. In addition to infants, we offer toddler swim lessons for up to 12 years at all skill levels. If you’ve got kids at different levels, we make it convenient to schedule more than one at a time on the Big Blue Swim School app—we can even schedule classes at the same time, so you don’t need to make multiple trips in one week!

So, bring them out and see our ultra-clean facility for yourself. The water’s warm and ready for your kids!

Conveniently Located

Our swimming classes for kids are conveniently located in Huntington Beach, making Big Blue Swim School a great choice for families in nearby communities, including Long Beach, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Fountain Valley, and Stanton.

Classes are held at our pool in 5 Points Plaza at the intersection of Ellis Avenue and Main Street, with easy access from Beach Boulevard. With so much to do before or after lessons, there’s no need to make a special trip just for swim class.

While you’re at 5 Points Plaza, you can drop off a package at The UPS Store, pick up prescriptions from Quinn’s Apothecary Pharmacy, or grab groceries for dinner at Trader Joe’s. If the delicious smells in the parking lot tempt you, skip cooking altogether and enjoy a chili verde burrito or carnitas at Mario’s Mexican Food & Cantina—or choose from more than 800 sandwich options at Ike’s Love & Sandwiches, where even picky eaters are sure to find something they’ll love.

Unless otherwise directed by a medical professional, it is always a smart idea to consider enrolling your child in swimming lessons. Whether they have little experience or none, Big Blue can help them on their journey!

For the safety of all students, all students are initially placed based on their age-appropriate level. Students are evaluated at each lesson by our trained staff to determine their skill levels using Big Blue’s curriculum. It is not uncommon for swimmers to move up levels quickly if they have previous swim experience.
