Available at select Big Blue locations, a Swim Plan is an enrollment option that allows you to save on your weekly lessons when you commit to weekly lessons for a set number of months. Instead of our flexible month-to-month rate, you choose a plan term — and the longer your commitment, the lower your weekly lesson price.
All three Swim Plans are the same weekly lessons. The only differences are how long you commit and how much you save per lesson. We offer three Swim Plan options outside of our month-to-month plan (Flex Plan):
The longer you stay and swim, the lower your weekly lesson rate. Pricing varies by location, so please check with your local Big Blue for current rates.
No, Swim Plan availability varies by school. You can contact your local Big Blue Swim School to find out if Swim Plans are available at your school.
If you’re already enrolled in lessons and switch to a Swim Plan, your new rate starts on the first of the following month — we don’t prorate or adjust pricing mid-month for currently enrolled students. If you’re a new or returning swimmer enrolling in a Swim Plan, you’ll be billed right away for the remaining lessons in the current month at your selected Swim Plan rate.
You’re never charged upfront for your entire Swim Plan. You’re billed on our normal month-to-month schedule at your discounted Swim Plan rate.
Swim Plans can’t be paused once they begin. If you know you’ll miss lessons, mark a planned absence and you’ll receive a make-up voucher, just as you would with normal weekly lessons in a month-to-month plan. Vouchers expire 45 days after the missed lesson.
If a longer break is unavoidable, you can cancel your Swim Plan and pay an Early Cancellation Fee. Your lessons will continue at our standard flexible rate. If you want to stop swim lessons altogether while you are enrolled in a Swim Plan, you need to give the pool a 30-day notice and pay the Early Cancellation Fee.
Not at all. Weekly lessons booked under a Swim Plan follow the exact same scheduling flexibility and make-up lesson policy as our standard flexible lessons. A Swim Plan only affects your pricing and commitment term, not how your lessons are scheduled.
Yes! Swim Plans are set up per swimmer, not per family, so you can pick what works best for each child. That means one swimmer could be enrolled in a 12-month Gold Plan, while a sibling stays on our flexible month-to-month rate, or chooses a different plan altogether.
While each swimmer can be enrolled in a different Swim Plan, you cannot transfer your Swim Plan between swimmers.
No. Your weekly lesson rate, plan terms, and Early Cancellation Fee are locked in for the full length of your Swim Plan, even if your local Big Blue updates its pricing or terms during that time. Any changes apply only to new plans and renewals. When your term ends and you renew or choose a new plan, the pricing and terms in effect at your school at that time will apply.
Renew anytime in the Parent Portal, in the Big Blue mobile app, or with your local Big Blue team. When we notify you 30 days before your plan ends, you can renew your current plan or switch to a new one.
We understand things change. If you cancel a Swim Plan before its term is complete, an Early Cancellation Fee applies, since the plan is based on a committed term of lessons. This fee is charged in full and is not prorated based on time remaining. Early Cancellation Fees vary by location and plan length.
Keep in mind that canceling a Swim Plan only ends the plan pricing — it does not withdraw your child from lessons. If you’d like to stop lessons altogether, our standard 30-day cancellation notice still applies.
Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Switching to a longer plan comes with no fee — your new rate and full term begin on the first of the next billing cycle. Switching to a shorter plan will include an Early Cancellation Fee if you switch before your current term ends. Early Cancellation Fees vary by location and plan length. You can contact your local school for details.
We’ll notify you 30 days before your Swim Plan ends. At that time, you’ll have the option to renew your current Swim Plan or switch to a different plan. If you choose not to renew or change your plan, your child’s lessons will continue without interruption at our standard flexible weekly rate once the plan term ends. Your Swim Plan ending does not mean your lessons end.
